Connect6 is a relatively new game. It was invented in 2003 by Professor I-Chen Wu of National Chiao Tung University. It is similar to games like Renju, Gomoku, or any other game where the goal is to connect a certain number of pieces in a row. However, many games in this family are unbalanced, with the play favoring the player who moves first. Connect6 attempts to correct that imbalance. How to PlayConnect6 offers very simple, yet compelling game play. It is played between two players who alternate placing black and white stones on the intersections of a Go board (technically, it is intended to be played on a board of infinite size -- but, we doubt your browser window could handle that). Black plays first, placing one stone anywhere on the board. Then, White plays two stones, also anywhere on the board. From that point on both players take turns placing two stones on the board. The first player with 6-in-a-row wins. Lines may be formed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
