I'm in the middle of a large set of changes to Vying Games that will take at least a couple more days to complete. In the meantime though, I needed to push out some much needed bug fixes -- which is why we had a minor release this afternoon. There are a couple new features in this release:
- Some optimizations to the way games are loaded. This should reduce "jumpiness" as the page loads. The actual page load is only marginally quicker, but it should hopefully "feel" faster.
- New homepage -- this isn't my final effort. But, the goal is to give new players a better feel for what Vying Games is about.
- The forums have been updated slightly
- New 'last post' links to jump straight to the end of the discussion
- The post a new message form only appears on the last page
- Some of the fonts are bigger (Woo hoo!)
- Some small tourney updates
- There's a "Your Tourneys" link now
- Similarly, if you're on some one's profile, you can pull up a list of their tourneys
There are other minor changes, all of which are pretty scatter-shot. But this wasn't exactly a scheduled release, so...
