Actually, I should probably say "scheduled" downtime.
I've made a number of major architectural changes recently. The changes require making a lot of database changes. I expect this next release to require 10-15 minutes of downtime, so I can make backups and migrate to the latest db schema.
During the downtime there will be a maintenance page explaining the downtime that will give an estimate as to when we'll be up and running again.
Anyway, the downtime is "scheduled" for tonight (EST) or tomorrow night. There are usually lulls in our traffic during these times, and I'll try to start the update when there is little or no activity.
